|Tea at Shiloh
An evening drawn from the cultural world of Japan, where shadow is not the absence of light but its necessary companion. Where the unlit corner of a room holds as much meaning as what is illuminated.

About the event
World: Japan 🇯🇵 Threshold: Embodied memory Color: Jade
If Mexico finds depth in the threshold Japan finds its depth in what is hidden, broken, incomplete, and maybe in passing.
Yūgen — 幽玄. The profound awareness of the universe that triggers emotions too deep for words. Not the beautiful thing itself, but the awareness of it. The mist, not the mountain. The space between the notes, not the notes themselves. The cracked bowl repaired with gold more beautiful for having been broken.
This is an evening drawn from the understanding of shadow, of interiority, of the quiet places we carry but rarely bring into a room with other people.
The evening moves through three acts: arrival and attunement, guided cultural conversation, and a sensory ritual so that what was already there can finally be perceived.
Guided conversation. Curated cultural stimulus. Sensory ritual.
